Whether your blogger blog have a site map ?. Having a sitemap page is not much important, however having a site map for blogs is important.Learn how to create full site map for blogger blogs . Once you created your blogger site map, you can submit it to search engines, follow the steps listed here to submit your site map.

It is not much important to have a site map page for blogger blogs, however in some cases it may be useful for user navigation.Creating a site map page for blogger is very easy.I already created a site map page for my blog and you can see it at http://www.blogger-blogging.com/p/sitemap.html.
By following the below procedure you can also create a site map page for your blogger blog.
  • Log in to blogger dash board
  • Select blog and click on the "pages" menu from the list
  • Click on the new page button and click Blank Page
  • You can provide new page title and click on the HTML tab
  • Copy paste the below code into the page

0 Enabling User Registration on WordPress Blogs

Do you want to enable user registration on WordPress Blogs?. WordPress has a built in functionality to enable user registration with your blog.Unlike blogger blogs, where the admin adds authors manually with WordPress blogs, admins can enable auto registration.With this WordPress feature, any of user can register themselves on your blogs.

While enabling the user registration on WordPress blogs, admins can limit the access level from settings.There are total 5 different roles with WordPress roles.

Steps to Enable User Registration on WordPress Blog


The below steps will explain how to enable user registration on WordPress blogs.

  • Log in to WordPress blog dashboard.
  • Navigate to "Settings -> General" from the left side bar.
  • Tick the Check box Any One can register

  • Now you need to change the default role of user registration.Which means when ever anyone registers with your blog, the default role will be assigned.
  • There are 5 different roles, as I mentioned earlier, they are,
  1. Subscriber - Which is the basic level who has only access to his personal profile.
  2. Contributor - This option will be set for guest blogging, the user will have the option to create new posts and manage it.But not able to publish it.
  3. Author - An author can create an publish new articles
  4. Editor - Who can create new articles, pages and also able to manage other users articles.
  5. Administrator - Some one who have full control over your WordPress blog!.
If you are enabling guest opportunity at your blog, you need to set the default option as Contributor. If you are not planning to provide guest posting or subscription option for your blog, just disable the auto registration option, since enabling user registration will invite many spam bots to your blog!.

If you need to add the user manually to your WordPress blog, just navigate to Users-> add new .You can also edit the role of existing use from the users menu from the left side bar.

0 Enabling Meta Description on BlogSpot - SEO Tips

Making a blog search engine friendly is difficult task than creating  a new blog with blogger or WordPress.Earlier I shared a small description of what is SEO and hope you read it already.

What is Meta Description?

Meta description is how search engines list your blog in search results..Though meta description not making any influence in search engine ranking, better keyword targeted meta description will result a higher click through rate.Which automatically increases the number of natural visits to your blog.

How to Enable Meta Description on Blogspot Blogs

By default blogger blogs don't have option to enter a customised meta description.Since it is a relatively new feature with blogger, while you create a new blog it will be disabled.You need to enable the meta description from the settings page to enable customised description for your each article.
Follow the below instructions to enable meta description on your blogspot blog
  • Login to blogger dashboard and select your blog.
  • Go to "Settings -> Search Preferences" 
  • Under Meta tags title, you can see that the description as [Disabled].
  • Just click on Edit link and you will get the option to enable the meta description.

  • You will get a text box to write your blog meta description.Which will be the description when your home page is listed on search engines.
  • Save the changes once you enter 150 characters of home page meta description.
  • Enabling the settings from here will enable the meta description for your separate articles.
  • You can now enter custom meta description for your article while you create new one.from the right side bar!!.

0 Submit WordPress Site Map to Google Webmasters

In this article let me show you how to submit WordPress site map to Google webmasters.Submitting site map to Google webmasters is the right way to tell search engine about the pages in your blog.Submitting your WordPress site map to Google webmasters tools makes the crawling process much easier.

To submit a site map to Google webmaster tools, you need to create a site map for your blog first.We have tutorial on how to create a site map for WordPress blog.Just follow the instructions listed there and create a site map for your WordPress blog.

To know how to submit a WordPress site map to webmaster tools at Google, just follow the below instructions.

  • If you don't have an account with Google webmasters, just visit Google webmasters and register for an account.
  • You need to verify the ownership of your blog before you can submit a site map.To do so login to your account
  • To add your site to Google webmasters click on the button "Add Site".

  • In the pop up box appeared, type your WordPress blog URL and press the "continue" button
  • Now Google will ask you to verify your site ownership
  • There are 4 methods to verify the ownership of blog.By default you will be landed at the recommended method tab and will ask you to download a file and upload it in to the root folder of your domain.
  • If you are comfortable with uploading file to the WordPress blogs root folder download the file from there and upload it into the root folder(Public_html in most cases) of your blog using cPanel or FTP
  • Then press "verify" button. 

  • If you are not able to use the above method of verification, you can select the tab alternative methods

  •  There you will get three different options to verify your blog ownership
  • If you already added the Google analytics code to your blog, then choose the "Google Analytics" verification method and press verify.

  • If you are not added the Google analytics code to your blog, just click the HTML tag verification method.
  • Copy the single line code that is appeared there and go to WordPress dashboard by loading www.yourdomain.com/wp-admin
  • Now go to "Appearance -> Editor" Select Header (header.php) from the right side bar.
  • Find the part </head> on the page and paste the copied code just above the closing head (</head>)

  • Once you add the code to header.php press the update file button which is available just below of the page.
  • After that come back to Google webmasters tab and press the "Verify" Button.

  • The third method of verification is by adding records to domain name.Since you are a newbie it is not a recommended method and try to verify your site ownership using the above methods. 

  • Once you verify your blog ownership to Google webmasters, continue to webmaster dash board.
  • Now navigate to "Optimization -> SiteMaps" from left side bar
  • In the right top corner, click on the button "Add/Test SiteMap" and in the box enter your site map as "sitemap.xml"

  • Now Click on "Submit SiteMap" Button and your site is now submitted to Google Webmasters.

0 How to Add Multiple Authors to Blogger Blogs

Are you struggling to manage a blog lonely?. Whether any of your friend interested to contribute for your blog?. Blogger supports multiple author option where you can invite your 100 friends to contribute.

Inviting a fried to become an author of blog is very easy.You just need your friends email address and the automated invitation mail will be send out to the invitee.Your friend need to confirm the invitation by login in to the blogger account and your blog will also be listed on the friends blogger dash board.

The author will have the capability to add new articles or manage his own existing articles.No other control have by the author of your blogger blog.So it is safe to add any one as author of your blogger blog.

If you need to give much more permission to your blog author, you can do it by making him as admin.Remember that making admin of a blog will have the full capability as like you have.So make admin only the peoples whom you trust.
In the following steps I will show you how to add Authors to blogger blogs.
  • Login to Blogger Dashboard
  • Select the blog for which you want to add authors
  • Navigate to Settings -> Basic from the left menu bar
  • Scroll down the window and find the permissions sub title
  • There you can see list of existing blog authors with their name and email id and permission level
  • To add a new author click on the link Add Authors and you can invite authors by entering the email id manually or selecting from contact list.
  • You can invite up to 100 authors to your blog.
  • Press the invite authors button and a verification message will be automatically delivered to author email.
  • After confirming the request the author will be added to the list of authors.

  •  If you wish to change the role of any author to Admin, you can just click on the author button and you can select admin option from the drop down list.
  • To delete any of authors from blogger blog, just click on the "X" mark.
